100 Women Who Care: Making a Big Impact, Together

In a world where unity is key, a group of women in Panhandle, Texas, is setting an inspiring example with a charitable initiative, aptly named “100 Women Who Care in the Texas Panhandle.”  The giving circle’s mission statement resonates the power of togetherness, “Women: Stronger Together, Sharing Blessings with a Purpose” with the aim is not just to make a difference, but to amplify it through collective action.

Here's how it works

Four times a year, we will come together for a meeting, each member or member team committing to donate $100 per gathering, totaling $400 annually per individual or team. Teams can consist of two members, and each entity holds one vote during the meetings.

At these gatherings, active members or teams are eligible to nominate a charity close to their hearts. All nominations are submitted using a charity nomination form, and the selected charity is determined by a majority vote. Once chosen, the donation of $100 each member/team— potentially amounting to a substantial $10,000—is made directly to the selected charity, resulting in a significant impact on the chosen cause.

For those interested in joining or seeking more information, the Founding Committee including: Carolyn Beddingfield, Angela Clay, Tori Durst, Benetta Herndon, Heather Leisher, Brenda Robinson, Sherra Robinson, Trish Sherrill, Brenda Sherwood, Mandy Sinclair, Tammy Wendel, Hanna Williams, Cindy Whitaker, and Mary Beth Young are readily available to provide assistance.

Through 100 Women Who Care, we, as women in the Panhandle, are demonstrating the profound impact that collective giving can have on our community, embodying the spirit of generosity and camaraderie. As we come together, our actions speak volumes—proving that indeed, when women unite, they are stronger together.
