Charity Nomination

  1. Members who wish to submit a charity for consideration must submit a Charity Nomination Form. 
  2. The form must be completed in its entirety, or it will not be selected as one of the final three nominations.
  3. The form must be submitted at least 1 week prior to the meeting.
  4. Only members with a signed Membership Form and who are in current good standing on their contributions may submit a charity for consideration.
  5. Three charities will be drawn 3 days prior to the meeting, 
  6. The member who submitted the selected charity will be notified to make a 5-minute presentation at the meeting. 
  7. There will be a 5-minute question and answer period following each presentation.
  8. Following the presentations each eligible member or team will vote by ballot. 
  9. The charity receiving the most votes receives the donation.
  10.  If a member’s charity is chosen, that charity is not eligible to be considered for selection for a period of 12 months; however, the member can submit the name of another charity.
  11.  Checks are written directly to the local organization.
  12.  Your cancelled check is your receipt for tax purposes.

Choosing a Charity

  1. Members who wish to submit a charity for consideration must complete a Charity Nomination Form.
  2. The form must be submitted at least one week prior to the event in order to be eligible for consideration.
  3. Only members who have signed a Membership Form and who are current on their contributions may submit a charity for consideration.
  4. Three charities will be drawn and notified  prior to the event.
  5. sponsoring member of the selected charity  will make  a five-minute presentation about their nominated charity.
  6. A 5-minute question and answer period will take place immediately following each presentation.

Voting

  1. Following the presentations, each eligible member will vote by ballot. The charity which receives the most votes will be selected as the quarterly Award recipient. All members are responsible for paying their group leader, payable to the selected charity.
  2. Selected charities are not eligible to be considered for nomination for a period of 1 year.

Requirements of submission:

  1. Must be a 501(c)(3)

  2. Organization in existence for a minimum of 12 months.
