The Texas Panhandle 100 Women Who Care hosted our third event,” Sunday Soiree”, on January 12, 2025 at the Buffalo Grass Music Hall in Panhandle Texas. Over 100 Women from the Texas Panhandle attended the meeting. Three nominated Non-Profit organizations were presented by members. Voting occurred and Joy Community Fund was selected to receive the donation. Through the collective giving of over 160 women from the Panhandle of Texas, $16,000 was donated to Joy Community Fund.

The Joy Community Fund (JFC) was founded with the simple goal of giving back to the community of Panhandle. They strive to serve by continuing long standing traditional events, in addition to looking for new opportunities for community enrichment.
The JOY organization has worn many hats since it’s beginning in 1973 as a community youth group. including previously serving as a youth group. When rebranded to the Joy Community Fund and expanded to an official nonprofit, they decided to devote a focus on community outreach to Panhandle and other communities in the area. Funds from the financial gift will be used to power our outreach efforts. supporting our endeavors and also prioritizing the needs of their neighbors.

The Families First Initiative focuses on financially giving back to local families. The goal is to be able to offer financial support to a local family by paying a bill or meeting the family’s specific need. JFC community outreach budget that allows them to meet the needs of citizens as they come up.

In 2024 they were able to serve 28 families in Panhandle and other communities. Financial support to five families was provide when unexpected tragedy struck. Joy Community Funds is proud of what they are doing in the community and are so thankful that the 100 Women Who Care have selected us as their recipient for the first quarter of 2025.

Through 100 Women Who Care, we, as women in the Panhandle, are demonstrating the profound impact that collective giving can have on our community, embodying the spirit of generosity and camaraderie. As we come together, our actions speak volumes—proving that indeed, when women unite, they are stronger together.
